Fall Snowstorm
October 28, 2009
Something about the clean lines and backgrounds draws me to make artistic images in the snow. This snow, however, is different. See, usually I’m out trudging around looking for people shoveling or newsworthy images with the newspaper. Today I set myself free from the newsworthiness to make images for myself. Kind of a cleansing from the past. Bring on winter.

Valmont Cyclocross
October 19, 2009
I stand atop the one hill at the new Valmont Bike Park in Boulder head spinning trying to grasp this sport. Then it hits me. Cyclocross is an aggressive hybrid of mountain biking and road cycling. Weekend warriors turned badasses. Roadies taking their built up aggression from autos to the dirt. All play nice at the new 45 acre park in eastern Boulder. On a personal note, I’ve never been to a cyclocross race. I guarantee I will be back.

Home Team
October 5, 2009
Went on a quick trip this weekend to visit family in Atlanta. Decided to go light on camera gear and went to my brother-in-law’s football game with everyone. Here’s a simple frame from their win. Loved the fog. Cheers.

This frame is sweet. Love it’s timeless feel and a perfectly captured moment. I think the quarterback’s motion makes this a keeper. I would hang it on my wall.
