Lookout Mountain

September 10, 2009

Four miles of sheer joy and pain as cyclists ascend Jefferson County’s Lookout Mountain on a weekday evening. This mountain has meaning to me personally. As I climb to the top the days thoughts disappear and I’m focused on one goal, finishing. I love this mountain. Here are a couple from the other day. I need to work the light more as the summer slips away into fall. Cheers.

Denver Derailler Collective

September 4, 2009

This week it is my pleasure to introduce you guys to the good folks at the Denver Derailler Collective. According to their mission statement and from the countless number of people I spoke with yesterday evening they are trying to put a bike in the hands of those in need. It is an open bike shop where one can grab a work station and fix just about any part on their two-wheeled vehicle of choice. I was a bit surprised by the sheer number of people taking advantage of this fantastic organization. Thanks for letting me into your world guys. I plan on coming back in the upcoming weeks. Enjoy.

Mallet Mafia

August 31, 2009

Last week’s cycling adventure led me to the Denver Mallet Mafia on the corner of Emerson and 13th Streets near downtown Denver. What I love about this personal project is that each and every time I go out to make pictures it tends to lead me in different directions. I plan on following up with this group of fantastic bike enthusiasts later in the season. Enjoy.

Denver Cruisers

August 21, 2009

First of all, welcome to the new blog! I’ve decided to shake things up a little and move from my older site to this one in order to streamline my work flow a little more and to work on better Search Engine Optimization as well.

I had the opportunity to document a local group of bicycle enthusiasts the other day called the Denver Cruisers. What a fantastic bunch of bike lovers. This is part of an ongoing documentary that I’ve been working on for awhile involving the local cycling community in Colorado. I hope you enjoy.

Cheers.
