Peak Ambition

September 2, 2011

“This is insane.” I said to my father-in-law Jim Swanson. “The fact that the parking lot for the trailhead is full at 1:30 a.m. on a weekday blows my mind.”

Many people attempt the summit of Longs Peak every year. Some make it to the famous Keyhole and even fewer make it all the way to the 14,255′ peak.
Ever since his summit attempt nearly ten years ago my father-in-law Jim has had the intent of checking this peak off of his bucket list. After 12 hours of hiking we completed the mission. Done. I always enjoy going to the mountains with Jim for one main reason. He truly appreciates them. I enjoy watching him staring in awe at their beauty. Thanks for another memorable trip Mr. Jim. Here’s to many more.

Winter X Games…part two

February 3, 2010

Sometimes digital files are completely overwhelming. I managed to make 95 gigs of raw images in 5 short days. I’ve narrowed that down to just a couple more blog posts. Here’s number two. Thank you for looking.

14er’s

September 3, 2009

We had a number of visits this summer from good friends and family. One of our favorite thing to do with “out of towners” is to take them to 14,000 feet to experience the cool and clean air. Thanks for visiting everyone. Cheers.
